A chatbot is available on our website. The chatbot is designed to quickly and easily answer general questions about Schmid-Fehr AG, our services, and administrative processes. When you use the chatbot, your input and the chatbot’s responses are stored. This data is stored to technically facilitate the conversation, to be able to continue it if necessary, to ensure the chatbot functions properly, to prevent misuse, and to review and improve the quality of the service.
Please do not enter any particularly sensitive personal data in the chatbot, especially information regarding health, financial circumstances, criminal proceedings, family circumstances, or other confidential personal matters. For such matters, please use the official contact channels of Schmid-Fehr AG.

Use of the chatbot is voluntary. You can reset the chat history displayed on your device at any time by starting a new conversation in the chat window. You can request the complete deletion of chat histories stored on our servers by contacting our Data Protection Office at the address listed below. Stored chat histories are also reviewed regularly and are not retained for longer than is necessary for the purposes stated.

Chat histories are only accessed to the extent necessary for operation, security, troubleshooting, quality assurance, or the processing of a specific inquiry. Access is restricted to authorized personnel. We use the services of Chatbase, Inc. (Toronto, Canada) to operate the chatbot. The processing of the entered data may take place on servers in the United States. A Data Processing Agreement based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses is in place with the provider, which ensures the protection of data in accordance with Swiss and European data protection law. The service provider processes the data exclusively on behalf of and in accordance with the instructions of Schmid-Fehr AG. Chat histories are not disclosed to other third parties unless this is necessary for the operation of the chatbot or there is a legal basis for doing so.

The information entered into the chatbot is not used for automated decision-making. The chatbot does not provide binding information. Only written information and offers from the relevant departments of Schmid-Fehr AG are binding. The information entered is not used to train AI models.

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to request information about the processing of your personal data, as well as to have inaccurate data corrected or unlawfully processed data deleted. Such requests may be directed to the contact point listed below.
